Salaried GP Opportunity - Marlborough and Pewsey

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed six session Salaried GP to join our team based in the market town of Marlborough and the beautiful Pewsey Vale.  This exciting opportunity has arisen as the existing Marlborough Medical Practice and Pewsey Surgery will be merging on April 1st this year.  The new Partnership (Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership) will serve just over 18,000 patients, living in the thriving market town of Marlborough and the surrounding villages of rural North-East Wiltshire.

Community Nurse

The Marlborough Integrated Team is looking for a Community Nurse on a fixed term contract to join our friendly, professional Multi-disciplinary Team who provides high quality care and support to patients in the community. The team is based within Savernake Community Hospital and operates on a shift pattern basis between the hours of 07.00 – 22.00.

Experience of delivering individualised patient care in the community setting is desirable, but not essential, as training and support will be provided for the right candidate. We are keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, well developed communication skills and be able to work under pressure and manage their time and workload effectively.

The team work closely with other Integrated Teams and there will be times when the post holder will need to visit patients in these areas, so a full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Marlborough Integrated Team is a busy, friendly team, who would welcome the opportunity to work with a new member of staff willing to contribute to the on-going development of the services we provide.

Would you like to be part of preventing unnecessary admissions to hospital and in assisting people to manage their conditions in their own homes? Wiltshire Health and Care is proactive in developing community specific training and can offer a supportive and friendly environment in which to learn new skills.

We currently require 2 x band 5 Nurses to work in the Marlborough Community Team. Our community nurses are expected to work in patients’ homes, in community clinical settings and to work professionally in a Multi-Disciplinary Team, linking closely with the GP Practices in the Local Marlborough, Pewsey and Ramsbury areas.

The team is based at Savernake Hospital and operates a shift pattern from 07.00 – 22.00. Nursing staff will be expected to work weekends and will be expected to cover early and late shifts. Experience in front line NHS community patient care is essential, as is evidence of up to date clinical professional development.

Applicants need to have excellent clinical skills, well developed communication skills and be able to work under pressure. The role is demanding but rewarding, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking individual who can work flexibly and efficiently.
